Evidence Based Practice: Applying an RtI Framework to Promote Positive Behavioral Development for School-Aged Children

Understanding and managing behavior can be perplexing – requiring time, patience and commitment. Recently, a model of service delivery labeled “Response to Intervention” has gained a great deal of attention nationwide as a framework for improving student academic performance. In this session, Dr. Eric Hartwig illustrates how the RtI framework applies to behavioral interventions. He will discuss evidence based intervention strategies for social emotion/behavioral issues within an RtI/PS model as well as how to: design school and class wide research based positive behavioral support for all students.
